パトリック・J・リネハン総領事歓迎レセプション

9月にご着任されたパトリック・J・リネハン総領事の歓迎レセプションが、ACCJ（在日米国商工会議所関西支部）との共催、及び大阪・サンフランシスコ姉妹都市協会、大阪・シカゴ協会、神戸日米協会のご後援の下、リッツカールトン大阪にて行なわれました。今回が３度目の来日となるリネハン総領事は、配偶者エマーソン・カネグスケさんを同伴してご入場され、鳥井JASO会長およびメステッキACCJ副会頭の歓迎の挨拶、楠本特命全権大使の乾杯の挨拶に続き、関西赴任への熱き思いを卓越したユーモアのセンスで語られ、参加者の大喝采を浴びました。参加の皆様はリッツカールトン大阪シェフによる心づくしのお料理を楽しみながら、和やかに交流を繰り広げ、川崎JASO副会長の中締めの挨拶で名残惜しくもお開きとなりました。
Welcome Reception for USCG Patrick J. Linehan

JASO and ACCJ held a Joint Welcome Reception for USCG Patrick J. Linehan, backed by Osaka-San Francisco Sister City Association, Osaka-Chicago Association and JASK, at the Ritz-Carlton Osaka. Following the welcome remarks by JASO President Mr. Torii, ACCJ Vice President Mr. Mestecky, and Ambassador Mr. Kusumoto, Mr. Linehan, newly-appointed in September as his third-time mission to Japan, accompanied by his husband Mr. Emerson Kanagusuke, gave an impassioned speech as USCG of Kansai with an incredible sense of humor, which received generous applause by the attendees. Friendly exchanges were made over great food prepared by the Ritz’s chef and they seemed reluctant to leave the venue, even after the nakajime (party-end) remarks were made by JASO Vice President Mr. Kawasaki.
