米国空軍太平洋音楽隊－アジア

アメリカン・ジャズ・ナイト

 

 

さて、この度、米国空軍太平洋音楽隊－アジアによるジャズ演奏会「アメリカン・ジャズ・ナイト」を、下記の通り開催いたします。

米国空軍太平洋音楽隊－アジアは、グレン・ミラーが率いた陸軍航空隊音楽隊の系譜を引き継ぐジャズ・バンドです。今回は同音楽隊所属のビッグ・バンド“パシフィック・ショーケース”によるジャズの演奏をお楽しみいただきます。すべてプロのミュージシャンで構成された彼らの演奏は、その確かな音楽性と豊かな表現力により非常に高い評価を受けています。是非この機会に本場のアメリカン・ジャズに触れてみてはいかがでしょう。演奏会後には懇親会を開催し、演奏を終えたばかりのミュージシャンたちと直接交流をしていただけます。

また、ご招待する米国人学生会員、共催する関西日英協会や英国人留学生との交流もご期待下さい。なお、この行事は大阪・サンフランシスコ姉妹都市提携55周年記念事業の一環として実施されます。皆様のご参加を心よりお待ち申し上げております。

“American Jazz Night”

 The United States Air Forces Band of the Pacific-Asia

“Pacific Showcase”

 

 

     We are pleased to announce that we will have a Jazz concert “American Jazz Night” played by the United States Air Forces Band of the Pacific-Asia’s “Pacific Showcase.”

     “Pacific Showcase” is a big band ensemble of the USAF Band of the Pacific-Asia, an all-pro Jazz Big Band renowned for its high quality of musical performance inherited from Glenn Miller’s “Army Air Force Band.”  “Pacific Showcase” has recently resumed its activities this August after several years’ interval and they will tour to Osaka in October to play “American Jazz Night” at the Imperial Hotel Osaka specially organized by JASO in collaboration with the Japan-British Society of Kansai (JASK).  Following the concert there will be a reception with buffet dinner in which the members of “Pacific Showcase” will also be invited to mingle with JASO members.  

     This event is organized as a part of the 55th year anniversary program commemorating Osaka and San Francisco made a sister city treaty in 1947.
