American Citizen’s Day on October 4, 2014

The U.S Consulate Osaka-Kobe and the Canadian Academy cordially invites all American citizens and their families currently located in the Kansai region to attend our upcoming American Citizen’s Day from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Canadian Academy in Kobe.

This event will provide American citizens and their families with information about valuable resources available to them in the Kansai region. Following introductory remarks from the U.S. Consul General at 1:00p.m., members of the U.S. Consulate community and others will provide information on topics of interest to American citizens ranging from health and safety questions to absentee voting, as well as answer questions from attendees. There will also be various booths from organizations working with American citizens in the Kansai region.

This event is open to the general public, and is free of charge. It is also open to non-U.S. citizen families of American citizens. Since space for this event is limited, we request that you please RSVP with the names of all attendees by email to NIVOsaka@state.gov by October 1.

American Citizen’s Day will be held in the Canadian Academy’s “Black Box” Theatre, which is located on the second floor of the New Building. The Canadian Academy is located at:

Free parking is available at the site. By train, take the JR Kobe line to JR Sumiyoshi station, or the Hanshin line to Uozaki station. Change to the Rokko Liner, and ride it to the final stop at Marine Park. CA is a 5 minute walk east from Marine Park.
